Mrs Louise Bennett
Principal
Louise joined Cam Woodfield Junior School in September 2017 during a particularly challenging time, when the school was in Special Measures. She was initially seconded as Executive Headteacher to help steer the school forward, and within the first term, she was appointed as the permanent Headteacher.
With over 13 years of experience leading schools, Louise is passionate about giving every child the best possible education. She’s known for her high expectations, strong values, and a hands-on approach to leadership. In a previous role, Ofsted described her as having “an uncompromising drive for excellence,” and that continues to shine through in her work today.
Thanks to her leadership and the hard work of the whole school community, Cam Woodfield achieved a GOOD Ofsted rating in May 2022. In April 2023, Louise took on a wider role as Acting Executive Headteacher across both Cam Woodfield and Callowell Primary School, supporting both schools during a time of transition. She’s now back full-time at Cam, where she continues to lead the school with energy, determination and a real commitment to making a difference for every pupil.
Louise believes strongly in teamwork, communication, and building a positive school culture where children and staff feel proud, supported and have opportunities to be the best they can be!
